175 Years of Virginia Mennonite Conference Celebration Events
July 25, 2010 @ Warwick River Mennonite Church
Myron Augsburger preaches at 10:30; the celebration continues with a fellowship meal and concludes with a "Heritage Celebration" at 2 p.m., featuring: recognition of the 1910 VMC meeting at Warwick River church, a tribute to Bishop Truman and Ruth Brunk, scenes and music from Pieced Together and a large centennial photo display.
August 1, 2010 @ Valley View Mennonite Church
Valley View had the earliest beginning as a congregation other than a home-based church in 1880, and has a significant history of school-house evangelism. A celebration from 2-4 p.m. will focus on the history of the Highland Cluster of VMC churches.
August 8, 2010 @ Zion Hill Mennonite Church
