Assembly 2011 header

Our faith ancestors who were leading the church in 1835 couldn't have dreamed what their offspring would be facing in 2011.

And, we can't imagine what our grandchildren will be facing in even 25 years, much less 175!

So, how do we prepare for an unknown future? By revisiting the ancient practices that place us within the sphere of influence of the Spirit of Jesus—the Spirit unleashed on the world at creation will be the inviting presence at the end of time as we know it. Welcome to this discerning, developmental journey!

Entertainment:

Friday at 9 p.m. - John HostetterJohn Hostetter
Enjoy a coffeehouse atmosphere with songwriter
and performer John Hostetter. He has quite an impressive resume: Berkley grad, former bass player in Austin’s Harlem, currently the brainchild/front-man for 90’s throwback grunged-up pop outfit Elephant Child. With his most recent collaborators Rashaad Jones and Melanie Schlabach, Hostetter seeks the blessings of artists as diverse as Townes Van Zandt, Lou Reed, and Van Morrison. http://johnjacob.bandcamp.com

Saturday at 4 and 9 p.m. - The Dill PickersDill Pickers
Keith & Viqui Dill lead this multi-faceted group with sing-along songs, fiddle, bass, mandolin and other instruments. Come and tap toes with them! They will perform on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. during the international activities and at 9:00 p.m. during the Taste of Missions, both on the front lawn of EMHS.

Note: Many thanks to Jeb Swartzentruber, whose gift of volunteer programming expertise has enabled us to improve our online registration, including the capability for online payment. His generosity is greatly appreciated!
